Proud to Support the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center's 'Taste for a Cure'

The Bank recently attended the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center’s Taste for a Cure event, held annually to support their mission to cure cancer.   The grand evening took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills and honored NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke with the Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award. 

The Private Bank of California was proud to support the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center, as well as Jennifer Salke, in their efforts to beat cancer.  Salke, whose parents are both cancer survivors, says, “You have to just be the warrior when it comes to cancer, stand in front of it and slash and burn. Look it straight in the eye and beat it."

The evening featured exquisite foods from award-winning chefs including Cindy Pawlcyn, Ludo Lefebvre, Suzanne Tratcht, and Gilles Azur.  Luxury wines from Napa Valley were highlighted as well, including wine sponsors and long-time event supporters Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel and Dolce, among many other participants.

Fine food and wine, however, was not the only highlight of the evening.  Guests were entertained by musical performances from Lea Michelle and Darren Criss of the hit TV show “Glee”.  Other celebrities in attendance were Joel McHale, Wilmer Valderama, Sean Hayes, Ryan Murphy, and Anne Heche.
