We congratulate Meredith Esarey, Vice President-Relationship Manager at the Bank, for being honored as a ‘Rising Star’ at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual Women Making a Difference Awards Luncheon. Held last week at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live, the event gave recognition to Los Angeles-based women for their outstanding achievements and commitments to making a difference in business and their communities.
Meredith, nominated by United Way of Greater Los Angeles, was named a finalist for the ‘Rising Star’ award out of approximately 200 nominations submitted by LABJ readers this year.
“We are very proud of Meredith for her devotion to making a difference in our local community and she will continue to have our support in her endeavors throughout Los Angeles,” says Bank President Richard A. Smith.
Esarey has served as the Membership Chair of United Way’s Emerging Leader Council since October 2010 and was recently elected as the Vice-Chair for 2012-2014. Through United Way, she has helped fund shortfalls, paint murals and sort books for a local middle school, among other things. Meredith has also spent time tutoring homeless children in LA County through an organization called Schools on Wheels.
