Supporting The Guardians Annual Poker Tournament
The Private Bank sponsored The Guardians’ 17th Annual Poker Tournament held at Hollywood Park to benefit the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging. This year’s poker tournament raised over $74,000, double from last year, to make it the largest and most successful tournament to date. Over 180 players participated in the tournament, twelve of whom were residents of the Home. The winner of the tournament received a $10,000 Buy-In to the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
The Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging was formed in 1938. Its mission is to provide vital funding to the Home and develop individuals who serve as emissaries of the Home as volunteer leaders, contributors and fundraisers. The Guardians provide continuous major private philanthropic support for the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging. With more than 1,700 members and donors, The Guardians is the largest support group of its kind in the United States.
“A big thank you to The Private Bank for donating to this great cause and allowing us to set the bar higher for the years to come,” said Robert Roig of the Guardians. “We look forward to a long relationship with the Bank and are thankful to have their support in achieving our mission.”
