CBA Holds Annual Regulatory Compliance Conference
10.23.12
California Bankers Association (CBA) held its 34th Annual Regulatory Compliance Conference at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Resort in San Diego earlier this month. The four day conference updated financial service professionals on the latest regulatory changes and compliance issues through workshops, seminars, and daily breakout sessions. The convention welcomed exhibitors and nearly 250 attendees including bank counsel, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) officers, compliance officers, chief operations officers, regulators, and attorneys.
The event covered topics such as California law updates, fair lending, ethics, mobile banking, social media, and compliance training. Notable speakers and workshop leaders included Kevin Gould, Senior Vice President, Director of State Government Regulations at CBA, Dr. Esmael Adibi, Chief Economist and Director of the A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research at Chapman University, and Sara Satten, Compliance Manager at Wells Fargo Bank, NA, among many others.
Our CEO, David Misch, is on the Board of the CBA and we are proud to support the organization's efforts. CBA is a member-based organization that provides resources to its members to help them succeed in California’s dynamic marketplace by maintaining in-house lobbyists who assist in forming legislative propositions that reflect members' interests. They provide everything from compliance software and industry insights to office supplies for their members.
