The Private Bank of California wishes you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!  We want to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful Clients, Shareholders, and Community for continuing to support us throughout the year.   In the spirit of the holidays, we would like to share a few of our favorite memories from Thanksgivings past:

“One year I made Kolaches, these amazing Czechoslovakian desserts.  There were a few leftover, post-festivities, so I took the extras home.  I didn’t know they needed to be refrigerated, however, and when I snacked the next day I got food poisoning from my own desserts!” - Joyce Jicka, Private Banking Officer

 “My grandparents raised turkeys in Michigan, where I grew up.  My grandfather became very attached to his turkeys, even naming them all, and throughout the year they would follow him all around the farm.  My grandmother, however, was in charge of picking out the best one for that year's Thanksgiving dinner.  So when the day came, my grandfather would always go away while my grandmother took care of the turkey.” - Karen Koepsell, Assistant Vice President Corporate Administrator

 “With almost 20 adults and 20 kids, Thanksgivings were spent with adults eating inside and kids outside. One year, my brother demonstrated to the cousins how to start a fire using a magnifying glass.  He set the backyard, our neighbor’s yard and nearly the house on fire!  After the fires were put out and the dust settled, we all gathered inside for dinner to say what we were thankful for.  Amongst the silence, someone thanked my brother for uniting the family under one roof.” - Mary Chilton, Vice President Operations Manager
